Cheap and crafty

I Have a two and a four year old, so they still require quite a few things for a day trip, so I always find myself grabbing a tote bag, filling it to the brim and running out of the house. When I cam eacross this old maternity shirt, I thought it would be cute with some plaid and a sturdy strap. So, I cut it off at the waist, fit it to the inside with pockets and exposed the top. throw on a sturdy handle and you have got yourself a new bag!

I took the buttons off the cuf of the sleeve and attached them for the closure

I put a couple extra decorative stitches  down the "front" of the shirt

and there you have it! Thank you for stopping by!!
