cheap recycle gift idea

One Smart cookie Graduation gift idea ...

We recently went to a  cousins graduation. What do you give as a gift?

I really didn't know what to do for this graduate who happens to be a BOY and TEENAGER... these words make it very hard to know what buy, so I gave the magical most wonderful gift.. MONEY! but I didn't just want to give a card, so I used a empty kleenex box, some construction paper, cookies, and then of course money :)
I made sure that now he was a graduate and ONE SMART COOKIE!!

Filled with cookies and money, beats a plain old card any day :)

Third Birthday!

We are going to be celebrating a birthday soon! My little girl is going to be three!! I found the perfect celebration tool. A handmade felt crown made by mommy!  She loves it so much I can't get her to take it off so I can take appropriate pics for the etsy shop. :) I guess that is a good sign :)

Derecho

According to the Northwest Herald the storm that had kicked out of my house for 5 days, was called a Derecho. I had never experienced anything like it before. The wind was an amazing sight (right before I went screaming downstairs for shelter like a little girl!) but it left its mark on the neighborhood.
We are so grateful that we didn't have any trees land on our house. Most of our neighbors were not as fortunate. In our area, going without power, means going without water and toilets as well, so the kiddos and I took shelter and my parents house for a few days while the neighborhood was restored.
So we are back, I need to start cleaning up the yard, but instead, well, I am blogging about it :)

This pic above is hard to see but it was trees across the road. This was the scene at each intersection. we a were pretty much stuck in the subdivision

In the pic above you are seeing correctly if you see teh POWER lines being pulled to about  3 feet above the ground

Dog Collar

Did you know you could buy the plastic pieces for dog collars and make your own? I did need to use fleece stabilizer inside, and upholstery fabric thread for the sturdy collar to be functional, but they turn out padded and awesome ! Check these out!!  To purchase these  you may leave a request on the shop or a comment here and I will get back to you so we can set up a custom order for a collar or any item. This month's donations are to the American Chronic Pain Association.

Please consider purchasing and item to help us reach our goal for the next 60 days.  We appreciate everyone's help!
Our Shop is adding new items weekly and we love custom orders, so please feel free to message me for your own special ways to help those who suffer from chronic pain

blog hop!

ok, first timer here.. trying to hook up with a blog hop. Comments to let me know if I did this right would be greatly appreciated!
