Popcorn Birthday

This past weekend we had our kiddos bday. They are turning 3 and 5. With a combined bday it can be a little tricky to come up with a theme, but two years now I have managed. LAst year was cowboy/cowgirl and it worked quite nicely with the toy story obsession that was currently in the house. here was the invite

and this year since we now love all Disney movies the theme was movies and popcorn. I bought all kinds of movie decorations like cars banners, ratatouille chef hats, etc. But the main focus was popcorn. here are some pics from the weekend.

 

this was the main popcorn station where everyone came to fill up on the flavor of their choice. we had butter, nacho cheddar and kettle corn 

I followed this wonder idea and made my version of these popcorn cupcakes.

These is the cakes. I made a 9X13 frosted it, put those fancy smancy stripes and letters and topped it with the yellow M&m's

This was fun.. the pinata... we made it and covered with stripe paper and yellow crumpled crepe paper. thanks to the awesome nephews who were willing to get glue -yy  with me :)

 
And to the best hubby who plays along with all my silly ideas. (and yes that is all french bread he is holding) we are italian, "its what we do"

missing?

Feel I am missing these days around here... been uber crazy with my kiddos bday party and getting ready for fall craft shows. But don't worry, there are some posts in the works... here is a hint...

bibs- do or don't

Should I put the time into making many of these and posting to shop? 
I am thinking about starting all kinds of bibs on my etsy site. Colors, pattern, customs orders, etc.

They are fun to make and after about five thousand ten different attempts at getting perfect fit, I think I have it! It is baby-tested and mommy-approved. I couldn't resist posting the first one on the shop on my 'lil Hippy style!!

Pouches with a Purpose

I have decided to make an additional line in my charity shop!

Along with Crafting for Chiari, I will also being trying to organize my crafts into sections and the newest one is entitled "Pouches with a Purpose". Watch for bundles of drawstring pouches in coordinating colors.  The following are currently available. I would also love the opportunity to do custom owrk for you. Many customers have used these or pouches like these for wedding shower favors, baby showers, birthday parties, etc. Let me know if  I can help you while helping others.!

There. I said it. I am SHORT!          Most are taller than me. I am short.

So a staple in my house? Stools.

They are everywhere because, well, I need them! I have realized that most of them are pretty disgusting ugly. So I decided to do something about it. 

Here is one of many icky old stool

 Add some Modge Podge, paper, and distress ink

Some blue spray paint, a little measuring, a lot of tearing, an sticky glue mess

Simply said

ugly made pretty :)
